Burnt Lands has this special kind of magic, especially right before golden hour, that makes it a dream spot for family photography. Recently, I had the chance to photograph a fantastic family there, complete with two spirited boys who brought their own energy and excitement to the mix.
We timed this fun family photography session to capture the soft, warm light that fills the landscape in the late afternoon. Burnt Lands offers a unique blend of wild, grassy stretches, making it an ideal backdrop for both candid and posed shots.
As the sun began to dip, casting its gentle glow, we settled in to capture a few cozy, heartwarming shots of the whole family together. The boys’ laughter filled the air and brought a happy, lighthearted energy to each frame. Watching their parents look at them with so much love and pride—those are the kind of moments that make photos timeless.
Sessions like these are exactly why I love what I do. Outdoors, surrounded by nature, it’s easy for families to forget the camera and just be in the moment.
